Peter Green was one of the most iconic guitar players of the 60s. He started his career as replacing the Eric Clapton with John Mayall & the bluesbreakers. Later he founded Fleetwood Mac. He wrote quite a few songs which became quite famous such as Black Magic Woman which was played by Carlos Santana and became a world hit. Due to several health problems with drugs and mental problems he left Fleetwood Mac and started his own career. Now he passed away in July 2020 at the age of 73. Let's honor his work with his song “ I love another woman “ This blues was played by many guitar players such as Gary Moore, Joe Bonamassa or Snowy White. Foxy Lady ( Jimi Hendrix )- Guitar Lesson In this tutorial I'll show you how to play the song Foxy Lady by Jimi Hendrix as played at Miami pop 1968 live. On this live recording you can clearly see the fingering of Jimi Hendrix so I decided to pick that recording and show you how to play the main guitar riff and give you some inspiration how to do some solo guitar in the wild style of Jimi Hendrix. Jimi Hendrix used to tune his guitar on Eb but I have made a version which is played on normal tuned guitar. I also checked his fingering on the live recording and I show you the way he plays the guitar riff but I also show you an alternative fingering which is probably easier for most of your players out there. Even though there are recordings of Jimi Hendrix playing this song I do believe that he never meant it to be extremely precise. I think the wildness in his playing is part of his trademark style and so when it comes to the guitar solo I show you how to play wild and that is exactly what's Jimi Hendrix playing was all about. In between there are several guitar fill-ins which are basically country guitar fill-ins. here I suggest that we use that a major pentatonic for those lead guitar parts. In the tutorial I am also showing alternative ways of playing the main guitar with the little bit more harder to play but probably nearer to the original parts.
