Here we are working on your first steps to play some double stops inside your slow blues guitar solo. The main task in fact is to always know where you are, to select the right double stops and to play them with a cool rhythm pattern. You can take any double stops if you check the chord which is played at the current point inside the blues form but I am showing you the most common double stops and the most common basic rhythm patterns. Once you have those ones done properly with your slow blues guitar training you are ready to become creative and make any combinations. Here you can download the files associated to this tutorial :

Here we are taking the first steps on the path to advanced blues guitar improvisation where we start playing more then only the minor pentatonics on a blues. The first steps are to train yourself to always know where in the blues form you are and what the chord is and that you are able to play material ( chord notes and / or the related major pentatonic with the approach note ) where it is required. Here I am talking about one of the core elements in any blues guitar improvisation. The dialogue between to people which is displayed into music. Here I am showing you a easy but very cool Robben Ford style blues guitar riff with the chords E7#9 / A13 / E7#9 / B13 and give you some ideas how to make a cool solo to those chords. The riff is very easy to play because you just need to move the E7#9 voicing one fret down or up but the improvisation might be a brainer. It is a blues but the regular Em blues scale does not reflect the vibe we want to achieve. So we need to start working with several scales including the half tone - full tone scale. Here I show you a very cool and dark Tarantino style blues guitar riff played with a drop D tuning and a tremolo effect. They key to get the vibe right is to have the proper effect settings which is a tremolo effect with a triangle waveform set on 102 bmp, an analog stereo delay and an old style spring reverb together with the drop D tuning with a fender amp on distortion level 5 and a 2*12 cabinet. The rest is your personal imagination and feeling the vibe while you interact with your guitar with the drum and the bass. Check out the backing track which I also produced in this typical retro surf style :
