Wow it really has been a long time since my last blog entry. It has been an intense time - sometimes not so easy since I started my first steps into a new life without extended online teaching and extended internet projects. It is now 3 months ago since I made this step and I personally think it was the best desicion of the past years. Some really new aspects have come into my life and in fact it is a total different life with its difficulties but it feels great. So what happened since then ?
Actually I have started to focus totally on creativity as a liveperformer and as a composer. These 2 aspects never really had a bigger space in my work since I did not have the time and the open spaces to really get into this creative world. So I started to practice guitar and piano regualar again - and specially in the morning hours. A time which I usually used to awser all emails, orum entries or other internet activities. Since I have more time for this work I am able to really work on the connection with the guitar or piano again with several mental exercises in combination with technical exercises on guitar or piano. And it was worth ! I had 2 concerts at the beginning of june and the first one was a real challange. It was in Germany under pretty hard conditions and I did not fail. It was not my best performance but without my exercises I would not been able to stand the big pressure this way. This is part of the new life that you need to face difficult situations and still be able to do a great job - no wonder that the report in the media was very good !
The next concert only 4 days later was the best soloperformance I have ever played ! Wow I am still exited
The next goal are now to make concerts from the now finally finished studio egg http://www.jamsessionegg.ch and to start working with bands. New performances are already booked and on the way.
The 2nd part - composing :
Here I have started to put energy into this part or my work and wow it works. I am still a successful composer at Swiss National TV - they just asked again for new music. I have become a featured artist at audiosparx.com - view http://www.audiosparx.com/ColourMusic - my recent work " http://soundcloud.co...res/coming-home " got a contract with a US based libray and my track " http://soundcloud.co...c-pictures/fire " is in the final phase of getting signed at a successful Hollywood library.
Beside this I am currently scoring a Swiss movie which shall be seen at the Umwelt Arena on a 15m screen.
So I am on the way now to a live where creativity will always be first and facing difficulties which appear in local settings when you work together with " real " people. It was a change after working in internet for 15 years but I will never regret this step I made.
